New look ThePurveyor.com in Beta

After a few months of reworking the entire system behind ThePurveyor.com, we are pleased to announce that it is now in Beta and being tested by the team for final glitches and addition of final content.

Many of the issues from the old site have been addressed in this new build and lots of new features have been integrated. The flexibility of the new shopping cart software that we are using (Magento) allows for a completely unique set up for many sections of the store. To aid in navigation, we have broken the site up into micro-stores instead of housing all products and services under one store.

Now we have the wonderful range of premium spirits in the main Purveyor Drinks Store, an entirely separate section for Gifts, and a further section for a new service offering a barman service to your home or office.

We still have the "magazine" offering great guides on making cocktails, a wealth of cocktail ingredients, and the useful directory of style bars in London and New York.

Improvements to the store have been helped immensely by the new 960px "wide" layout, which has enabled more space for talking about each category and product, spreading the navigation, and even the introduction of adverts. But, most important of all is the new one page checkout and the entire user account section.

So, hopefully we will be posting up the link to the new store in the next few weeks...
